Hertfordshire

Just north of London, Hertfordshire is a densely populated area of England with everything from rural villages to urban towns and regions. There are beautiful parks like Cassiobury Park in Watford and Verulamium Park in St. Albans. Verulamium Park contains the ruins of the Roman settlement that the park is named after. The park is located a few minutes from St Albans Cathedral which is the oldest site of continuous Christian worship in the UK. The cathedral was built in the 11th century and has the longest nave in England.

Probably the most popular attraction in Hertfordshire right now is the Making of Harry Potter at the Warner Bros Studio Tour. Located at Warner Bros Studios Leavesden in Watford, where some of the Harry Potter movies were filmed, the tour contains items from the actual sets of the films.

You can also learn about how special and visual effects were used to make characters fly, and all of the magical creatures seem real. After spending a few hours at Hogwarts, you can see what else Watford has to offer by exploring Bhaktivedanta Manor or Cheslyn House and Gardens.

While it can be difficult to find campsites near London, once you get to the northern half of Hertfordshire, there are many places to park your motorhome hire overnight.

The Hertford Camping and Caravanning Club site has great reviews. Why not visit their site for a night or two.
