Kronos 665

Roller Team Kronos Compact 665

The Roller Team Kronos Compact 665 – Slimline Style, Big-Motorhome Comfort
(Available to hire from April 2026 at Luna Motorhome Hire)

If you like the idea of a proper motorhome but hate the thought of wrestling something huge down country lanes, the new Roller Team Kronos Compact 665 should be on your radar. This 2026 model is a slimline coachbuilt motorhome on a Ford Transit chassis, designed to give you the comfort of a full motorhome with the footprint and manoeuvrability much closer to a campervan.

From April 2026, you’ll be able to hire the Kronos Compact 665 from Luna Motorhome Hire, making it a great option for UK road trips, festivals and European adventures.

Key Facts (at a glance)

Based on the 2026 Spec with an automatic gearbox, here is what you are getting.

  • Berths: 4 (two double beds – one fixed rear, one drop-down)

  • Seatbelts: 4

  • Length: approx. 6.41 m

  • Width: approx. 2.15–2.35 m (slimmer than a standard coachbuilt)

  • Height: approx. 2.85–2.95 m

  • Chassis: Ford Transit

  • Engine: 2.0L diesel, typically 130–165 BHP depending on pack

  • Transmission: Automatic

  • MTPLM: 3,500 kg – driveable on a standard UK car licence

  • Layout: Fixed rear double bed over a large garage + front drop-down bed

  • Washroom: “Duplex” bathroom with pivoting/swing wall to create a full shower

  • Power & utilities: Solar panel, lithium leisure battery (in many 2026 specs), Truma heating with iNet X control, good fresh-water capacity

Driving and size – campervan feel, motorhome comfort

On the road, the Kronos Compact 665 feels deliberately “dials-down-the-stress”. It is

  • Under 6.5 metres long and notably narrower than a full-fat coachbuilt

  • Built on a shorter wheelbase Ford Transit chassis for easier cornering and parking

  • Kept at 3,500 kg, so anyone with a standard Category B licence can drive it

That combination makes it ideal if:

  • You’re new to motorhomes and don’t want to jump straight into a big A-class

  • You do a lot of exploring on B-roads, coastal routes and through small villages

  • You want to be able to nip into town, supermarket car parks and attractions without feeling like you’re in a bus

The Ford cab brings the usual car-like driving position, properly supportive captain’s seats that swivel into the lounge, and modern cab tech such as Android Auto / Apple CarPlay on many UK dealer specs – all of which we’ll be speccing correctly for the Luna hire fleet.

Daytime layout – a proper lounge in a compact shell

Step inside and the Kronos Compact 665 doesn’t feel like a compromise. Roller Team have used the extra width over a van and the slimline body cleverly:

  • Front lounge / dinette with two forward-facing travel seats plus a side seat

  • Swivel cab seats to create a sociable space for up to five people

  • Overhead drop-down double bed neatly tucked into the ceiling when not in use

  • Large side windows and skylight for plenty of natural light

It’s the classic modern European layout but shrunk to a size that still fits supermarket spaces. For families, the lounge works well on rainy days; for couples, it’s a comfortable place to stretch out with a glass of wine after a long drive.

Sleeping arrangements – two proper double beds

The Kronos Compact 665 is a true 4-berth with two very usable double beds.

  1. Rear fixed double bed

    • Positioned over a large rear garage, ideal for bikes or bulky kit

    • Electrically height-adjustable on many 2026 specs, so you can trade a bit of garage height for easier bed access if you prefer

    • Feels snug and private, slightly separate from the main lounge

  2. Front drop-down double bed

    • Lowers down over the dinette at night

    • Big enough for two adults – not a “token” kids-only bed

    • Lifts away in the morning, so the lounge is fully usable in daytime

For families, parents often take the rear fixed bed and give the kids the “ceiling bed”. For two couples travelling together, both beds are decent enough for adults, as long as everyone is happy to share the lounge space in the evenings.

Kitchen – small footprint, proper facilities

The mid-kitchen is compact but sensible – more than enough for normal touring:

  • 2-burner gas hob

  • Oven / grill

  • Sink with hot and cold water

  • Good-size fridge with small freezer compartment

  • Decent worktop for a van of this size, with smart use of covers and flip-ups

You’re not getting a massive domestic-style kitchen, but you are getting everything you need for proper cooking: breakfasts, pasta nights, BBQ prep, you name it. For many hire customers, that balance – real cooking facilities without losing space elsewhere – is spot on.

Bathroom – clever “duplex” washroom

One of the clever touches on the Kronos Compact 665 is the wet room with a pivoting / swinging shower wall

In everyday terms, that means:

  • In “toilet mode” you’ve got a compact washroom with loo and basin

  • Swing the wall across and it transforms into a dedicated shower cubicle, keeping the toilet area drier

This design gives you a proper shower in a genuinely compact motorhome, without feeling like you’re washing in the same space as the loo. For longer trips or touring off-grid, that makes a big difference.

Storage, utilities and off-grid potential

For a slimline motorhome, storage and power are surprisingly strong:

  • Large rear garage

    • Big enough for bikes, outdoor furniture, kids’ gear or bulky luggage

    • Some dealers offer external shower and BBQ points in the garage as options

  • Interior storage

    • Overhead lockers throughout

    • Wardrobe space near the rear bed

    • Additional cubbies and under-seat storage in the lounge

  • Water & gas

    • Around 100L fresh water tank with a generous waste tank

    • Space for gas bottles (with some models also using an underslung LPG tank)

  • Power

    • Solar panel as standard on many 2026 UK specifications

    • Lithium leisure battery (around 100Ah) on some dealer specs, giving better off-grid performance than a traditional lead-acid battery

    • Truma heating with iNet X control, allowing you to monitor and manage heating and hot water more intelligently

All of this makes the Kronos Compact 665 ideal for a mix of campsites and nights off-grid – perfect for touring Scotland, coastal wild-style parking (where allowed), or European stopovers.

Who is the Kronos Compact 665 ideal for?

From what we’ve seen across UK dealers and Roller Team’s own information, the Kronos Compact 665 suits:

  • Couples who want a compact, easy-to-drive motorhome but still want a fixed bed and a proper lounge

  • Small families (2 adults + 1–2 kids) who like the security of a garage for bikes and outdoor kit

  • First-time motorhome hirers who don’t want something huge but still want more comfort than a basic campervan

  • Festival-goers and event trips – especially with the easy driving, fixed bed and big storage for gear

If you’re used to full-size coachbuilts, the Kronos Compact 665 will feel more agile and less intimidating. If you’re coming from a campervan, it will feel like a big upgrade in comfort, storage and washroom facilities.
