Highlights of the Route Jurassic Coast – Dorset Start with dramatic cliffs, fossil beaches and stunning coastal views. Devon – North & South Coasts Surf beaches in North Devon, quieter coves in the south, and countryside in between. Dartmoor is a must if you fancy wild landscapes and starry nights. Jurassic Coast – Dorset Travelling through the Jurassic coast in Dorset is the perfect way to start the South West 660.   Heading through Dorset in a motorhome gives you the opportunity to stop and take in some of the most amazing views which includes Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. Visit Corfe Castle, a charming village with a ruined castle and heritage steam train and explore the eerie Tyneham abandoned village. Wander the dramatic cliffs of West Bay, meet rescued primates at Monkey World, or relax on Sandbanks’ beautiful beaches. Discover the iconic Portland Bill Lighthouse, the vast Chesil Beach, the fossil-rich town of Lyme Regis, scenic Studland Beach.  With so much to do, you will need a good number of nights here. Rosewell Camping – Just on the outskirts of Weymouth this campsite has views, access to a beach close by and allows dogs. Devon – South Coast Having started in Dorset, you would most likely head over to the South Devon coastline before heading to Cornwall. Why not start in Dartmoor National Park – walk a tor, spot wild ponies, then head to Haldon Forest Park for an afternoon trail. You could stay Overnight near Totnes and take an evening stroll along the River Dart. Visit Dartmouth Castle and wander the harbour. Follow the South West Coast Path towards Slapton Sands for coastal views and WWII history. Visit Salcombe and its beaches, then continue to Paignton Zoo for wildlife and family activities. Finish with a sunset walk on Blackpool Sands and a quick visit to Plymouth, rounding off South Devon’s coast, countryside and culture making this a great 3 or 4 day excursion around Devon’s South Coast. Cornwall When in Cornwall why not visit Kynance Cove on the Lizard Peninsula for stunning turquoise water and coast views. Explore nearby South West Coast Path cliffs and head to Penwith Heritage Coast around Porthcurno and Land’s End for dramatic seaside scenery.  Take a look at the iconic Minack Theatre perched over the sea, and travel up to St Michael’s Mount tidal island for a unique walk at low tide.  We also recommend Mount Edgcumbe Country Park and coastal paths, finish wandering the historic harbour village of Boscastle. Dont’t forget to visit some of the UK’s best beaches at Porthcurno and Porthminster. North Devon Coastline Devon and Cornwall are known for some top surfing spots so if you are a surfer, don’t forget to visit Croyde Bay or Woolacombe.  If not, then head into Exmoor National Park for moorland views, wildlife and walking trails. Then go to the dramatic Valley of the Rocks near Lynton & Lynmouth for cliff scenery. Try out the iconic seaside town of Ilfracombe, ride the Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway and wander harbour paths.  Drive the rugged North Devon coastline plus take a stroll along the South West Coast Path for breathtaking views.
